FEATURE WISH LIST FOR STEINBERG CUBASE SX


SMALL FEATURES:

the freeze button for vsti´s should be shown in the inspector window

rearrangeable inpector bars (track parameter,inset effects,channel...) to put the vsti bars at first on top. so we could see the insert effects and the vsti mixer channel on one monitor at 1280x1024 screen resolution if we klick on the selected midi track which is assigned to a vsti

pool window should be able to set "always on top"

the matrix window should be able to set "always on top"

the device panel windows should be able to set "always on top"

midi matrix and vsti window should follow the selected midi track which is assigned to a vsti

vsti mixer view should follow the selected midi track which is assigned to a vsti

mixer should automaticly show only the really used vsti channels

midi remote control should only drive the really used vsti mixer channels

midi extraction from hitpoints with drag and drop to the arrange page

mfx plugin with the feature to select a folder in which are midi loops.these should be able to switch forward and backward with +- buttons.the midi loop should be able to drag and drop to the arrange page

mfx plugin with a adsr envelope which restarts at every note on midi event.with this option we would be able to put more adsr envelopes to a synth. fruityloops has a feature in the automatisation for this

the arrange page background should be able to colour almost black

vsti patch randomisation with adjustable intensity (like samplitude or energy xt)

a piano roll under the vsti window should be able to show with a button

STATIC midi note randomisation in the matrix window each time the "random button" was pressed, with intensity options for velocity,pitch,position and number of midi notes

endless loop button (like in logic)

midi out should be showed in transport window, to show which controler is sent when you screw a knob at the vsti. so we could set the right controler for a external midi knob box

midi vsti´s should be able to insert like(or instead)the mfx plugins (there are more good and working vsti midi plugins than mfx plugs)

fxb banks should hold infinite programs (not only 128)and there should be a editor for copy, delete and rename the programs

fxp programs should be able to store in a folder one by one and then there should be +- buttons to load them forward backwards

the caps lock key should enable the querty keyboard to play midi notes

better implementation of mfx plugins (there are much mfx plugins which dont work in cubase)

unessecary bright areas in the mixer should be erased (this would be easier for the eyes) the nuendo gui doesnt has these bright areas in the mixer and is much clearer and easier to look at

easy copy and paste patch scripts in (between) device maps (maybe import function)

device maps should receive incoming midi messages


BIG FEATURES:

new track class: vsti track, so we could have the vsti automatisation directly under the midi notes which drive the vsti. its so much time consuming to put each automatisation track out of the folder and drag them to the midi track if you have much vst instruments. also the right vsti channel in the vsti mixer window would follow the selected midi track which is assigned to a vsti

moveable insert fx.

mouse wheel support for ALL buttons faders and knobs (especially for the included cubase plugins)

right click midi learn for all buttons faders and knobs

audio pitch to midi extraction.

melodyne like time stretch and pitch shift.

better effects with more options (especially the delay plugin)

all knobs of the included effects and synths should be able to drive with midi controllers (they should be able to show as midi devices in the inspector)
